Rules

Everyone has rules. Rules of the road, workplace rules, marriage rules, rules in the games we play.
The most important rules, though, are our own rules. The ones we live by. A code of conduct we build for ourselves that help shape who we are and how we live our lives as individuals.
These are my rules (in no particular order).*

1. There is no free lunch.
2. Always carry a pocketknife.
3. Always carry a handkerchief/bandanna.
4. Say what you mean; mean what you say.
5. Accept responsibility for your actions.
6. Never wear a belt AND suspenders.
7. Never loan money to a friend.
8. Treat others with kindness and respect...even if you don't like them.
9. Never say anything online that you wouldn't say in person.
10. Honesty is the best policy.
11. Ladies first.
